Castles & Shoe Artisans

A LUXURY EXPERIENCE VISITING CASTLES AND SHOE ARTISANS that will last around 12 hours in total and includes the trip from Madrid to Alicante (and back) by plane (one hour each way) or train (two hours each way) plus a half-hour drive, or simply a round trip by car if you travel from Alicante. We will visit castles with more than 800 years of history, as well as footwear artisans and/or the Footwear Museum, and have lunch at a Michelin-star restaurant in the province of Alicante.

Based on your preferences, we will design and prepare a fully customized and personalized visit to a series of castles and footwear artisans in the Alicante area, including, if you wish, a visit to the Footwear Museum in Elda. An unforgettable experience for shoe lovers.

Details

The region of Alicante is world-famous for its beaches (Costa Blanca), its historical castle-fortresses… and its shoes. Towns such as Elche, Elda, Almansa and Villena export footwear worldwide. Elda specializes mainly in shoes for women, Almansa for men, and Villena for children, while Elche houses several factories that make footwear for the Inditex Group (ZARA), famous and present across the world.

This visit will allow you to discover imposing and historic Castles and fabulous shoes… From the most unique artisans to the most modern factories, you will also have the chance to try on and buy the finest quality footwear for yourself or your family while you live an unforgettable experience.

Fully tailored experience

Once we arrive at the chosen area in Alicante, based on your preferences, we will visit a selection of castles and master shoemakers.
Lunch at a Michelin-star or upscale restaurant (depending on the area we visit).

Return trip

By car and plane/train (routes starting in Madrid) in the afternoon.

Drop off: 8:00 p.m., after the end of an unforgettable experience filled with learning, where you will acquire priceless knowledge about Spain and its people.
